Initially, you must request access to each recovery case that must be managed on the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal (MSPRP). You can request cases from the Benefits Coordination & Recovery Center (BCRC) and from the Commercial Repayment Center (CRC). Case IDs displayed will either be the "BCRC Case ID" (BCRC insurer cases and all beneficiary cases) or the "CRC Recovery ID" (CRC insurer cases).
Access is requested on the Request Access New Case Request page by searching for and linking (adding) a recovery case to your account. Once the initial request for access has been submitted, you will be able to view and manage the case on the MSPRP Case Listing page.
All fields are required except where noted.
Note: The case ID link, and therefore the page functionality, is unavailable during nightly system processing cycles.

Case Not Found
If the MSPRP cannot locate the case based on the submitted information, it will show the following message: "No Matching Case Records Found based on the information provided. If you are approaching settlement on a case that is not yet available on the MSPRP and you wish to initiate the Final Conditional Payment process, contact the Benefits Coordination & Recovery Center (BCRC) at: (855) 798-2627." Verify that the data was entered correctly. If any of the fields were incorrectly entered, correct the error and click Continue.
If you are still unable to access the case, or you would like to initiate the Final Conditional Payment process for a case that is not yet available on the MSPRP, please contact Medicare at: (855) 798-2627.
Note: The following cases will not be available on the MSPRP:

Case Found
If the MSPRP locates one case based on the information submitted, the Case Information page will appear. For more information, see the Case Information help page. The case will also be added on your Case Listing page and you will not have to request case access again.
If the MSPRP locates multiple cases based on the information submitted, the Case Results page will display. For more information, see Case Results help page.
Note: The following cases will be available on the MSPRP but a user will not be able to perform any actions on them:
- Case that was approved for Fixed Percentage Option
- Case that was approved for the Self-Calculated Conditional Payment Amount
- Case that has been closed
The MSPRP will attempt to match information for your account ID to an authorized entity on the case using the Tax Identification Number (TIN) and/or address information that was submitted previously for the MSPRP account including the addresses submitted during initial registration and account setup as well as any address changes that were made for the account subsequently. For more information on the matching process, please see the MSPRP Registration Guidelines and Scenarios help page.
Note: A party associated to the recovery case could be any of the following individuals/entities: the beneficiary's attorney, other beneficiary representative (i.e., family member), insurer, or Recovery Agent working on behalf of a beneficiary, attorney, or insurer.
When a match on the address/TIN is found, the account is associated to the case and the level of authorization the Account has on the case is determined. For details regarding authorization types and associated actions, see the MSPRP User Guide under the Reference Materials menu on the application
